There has been no word of this, but I think they ought to do it. We will take some abuse for how we have no heritage, but I think it makes sense to start now. The low numbers will tell the truth that we are a new team, and gradually they will grow.

depends on the paygrade..and time served..

It's a number given to each player as and when they make their debut. Usually the captain of the first ever team gets number 1 and the rest get their's according to their position i.e FB would get 2, right wing 3, right centre 4 etc.
