Despite the lockdown here we had a beautifully sunny and dry Spring which we were able to enjoy with lots of countryside walks near our house.

Ponga showing some good form in the second half. Should have passed out wide there when they had an overlap. 
Knights got 6 again but a desperate Storm defence held them out until Knights mucked it up.

Knights have made a stirring comeback stringing some good sets together and reaping the reward.

9 minutes left. Storm had plenty of possession with repeat sets but couldn’t break the Knights defence.

Well Storm’s grit paid off for them with Munster and Cam Smith giving them the edge that proved crucial.

NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS 12 - 26 MELBOURNE STORM

It was good to see that to get this victory Storm look to have adapted their style quite quickly to suit the new rules. It had to be done. Knights form going into this game meant that many people were tipping them and possibly rightly so on previous form and play.

Storm had a great first half and then despite a rally from the Knights were able to kick on a take a good win on the road.

Key player as usual but especially in this game, together with Cam Munster.
