glemiln Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 https://t.co/nkEwte4pxi Squad announced for this important game, especially after last week’s disappointing result and the other tough away games ahead. Hunslet will be in the same boat. No Taira, who has tested positive for Covid! Ainscough and Fairclough injured, but Bennion returns along with Penkywicz. Look forward to a positive Hornets match result.
ormskirknet Posted June 6, 2021 Posted June 6, 2021 Come on lads. It’s a must win if we are to have any chance of staying in touch with Barrow, glad Penky and Bennion are back, looking a bit light on inside backs, but still enough quality in there. anybody know what up with Moores? We don’t seem to get many updates on injured players / squad availability this season good luck Hornets
glemiln Posted June 6, 2021 Author Posted June 6, 2021 Sadly, another loss, 36-22, and another 6 tries conceded! Our injuries are not helping and losing Bennion just before the kick-off was a blow. Seems our penalty count was not low and again a player binned. Somehow, we are hanging in that top 5, yet 4 points behind the top three and in 5 games we have let in 156 points! Some say defence wins matches.
Pedro Posted June 6, 2021 Posted June 6, 2021 A very poor performance. Hunslet deserved the win and wanted it more than us. With a few notable exceptions we were out enthused. Too many penalties and silly mistakes. At the start of the season I was hopeful of a good campaign but I'm not now. Something seems to be wrong. I know we are hit by injuries but I thought the squad had enough strength in depth.
ormskirknet Posted June 6, 2021 Posted June 6, 2021 Really really disappointed in today’s result after backing up from last weeks shambles. Injuries yes; understood but I’m concerned. Barrow away to come, thankfully some home games but play-offs at best on current form
