Rugby League Digest - A Must For Any RL Fan

Recommended Posts

If you haven’t been listening to the Rugby League Digest’s In Depth Investigation Into The Super League War podcast series then do yourself a favour.

Latest episode is part two of three for a chapter titled Chapeltown Road, discussing British RL from late 70s into the 90s and the SL war.

Far and away the best high brow RL content available right now.

Based on the description

"In this episode the RLD discusses the cultural idiosyncrasies of the English game, the lasting impact and legacy of the 1982 'Invincibles', comparing kangaroo tour squads, the British sporting psyche, fudging gate figures, fighting Paul Weller and The Jam, a golden generation of British players, a gulf in professionalism, the Larder report, Ryan Giggs' unwise career move, the brilliance of Garry Schofield and much, much more!"

It reads like the days of yore Harry Edgar and the fantastic TGG.

Thanks for that I'll give it a listen.

Old thread but only came across this podcast a few weeks ago, it's absolutely class. Have just come to the end of the first season, cannot recommend it highly enough if anyone else hasn't had a listen yet.
