The England squad has been named and there are some very good players in there.  When you watch the NRLW and Women's State of Origin you see that the team has got a tough ask in the World Cup next year.  But the situation reminds me of Great Britain men in the 90's... while game is much stronger down under overall all we have some talent in the team and can put a very competitive 13 on the park.

The French women have barely played for two years. And their domestic season doesn`t start till early December.

The game on Saturday may attract some viewers who don`t normally watch RL and know little about it.

If the game is very one-sided it will play into the misapprehension that RL is a Northern English sport recently taken up by a few other countries.
