Mother's Day Promotion

It's a big game at the Vestacare Stadium on Sunday (3pm) when we not only kick-start the club's 25th Anniversary campaign, but it's the start of our 2022 Betfred League One campaign with fancied Keighley Cougars as visitors.

The club is appealing to fans to take a friend and double the gate to 1,000 -- their target for each home game this year.

As Sunday is Mothers' Day, we are urging fans to take their Mums. Every Mum will receive a daffodil from Roary and will be entered into a free draw, the first prize of which is a spa day for two with afternoon tea.

Every Mum who wants game-day hospitality can have it for half-price £15 if she is with a full-paying adult . To book, ring the club on 07904 898177 or email to: enquiries@roughyeds.co.uk before NOON on THURSDAY.

Thanks for your support.

Great scheme. Make it a special day for your Mum. Because one day she won't be here. This is how it is for me. Hurts so much.

It's all about supporting the lads and supporting the club. We don't only want a decent crowd, we NEED one like we've never needed one before. Much has been written about the current financial strife hitting League One clubs, but we are battling and working hard to stay in business and to provide our town with a professional Rugby League club. It's a true saying, 'When the going gets tough, the tough get going." You can rely on one thing. We will roll up our sleeves, dig in, and graft like we've never grafted before. Stick with us . . . with hope in your heart and trust in the club.

I couldn't give a monkey's what is on telly, or being streamed. It is all about the day out. Meeting your mates for a couple of pints beforehand, a bit of banter with the opposition, get rid of that stress by screaming your lungs out at the despicable underhanded tactics of whoever we are playing against, and the referee for not seeing it, and the referee for imagining wrongdoing by Oldham. The atmosphere in the ground, the sight of "live" rugby. You can't beat it.

Well said 'Fluffy'. I couldn't have put it more graphic myself. We never again want to lose that, do we ? No, we don 't. We've had enough of seeing a beloved club slip away from us. It musn't happen again; it won't happen again. But let's learn the lessons, eh and support what we've got NOW so it's still there for future generations. See you at the game fellas, LOUD and PROUD !
