On Sunday, first win as General Manager at Rochdale Hornets was ticked off the list, with a 37-22 victory against the Midlands Hurricanes and with results elsewhere going in our favour, now means our qualification to the play offs is in our hands.
After 10 weeks away from home, it was great to return to the Crown Oil Ltd Arena, and what a surface our lads got to play on thanks to the exceptional work from Rochdale AFC groundstaff, led by Josh Haigh. These guys have had it tough preparing the pitch in such a short space of time, with the added factor of one of the wettest July’s on record. They have excelled beyond expectation and the club are extremely greatful for their support.
We featured the first of our themed rounds as we paid homage to our 152 years of history in Retro Round, with many fans donning their historic jerseys.
We were also delighted to welcome our Walking RL team to play an exhibition match against the Warrington Wolves at Half Time. This was a fantastic addition to the usual match itinerary, and we look forward to welcoming more teams to entertain our supporters at Half Time. It’s fantastic to see how diverse we are as a club, and our doors remain open to anyone who wants to be involved.
Thank you to Match Sponsor RC Solutions Pitch Care and Ball Sponsor All Hornets for your support.
Congratulations

to Cian Tyrer on being selected as Man of the Match by our Match Sponsor!
More and more work is going on behind the scenes to further enhance the matchday experience, and to ensure we go into the 2024 season with the best foot forward.
It’s time for everyone in Rochdale to get behind both their professional sporting clubs - Hornets & Dale at the COA! 💪🏻

Who was named as 18th man? The team list posted on twitter never seems to include this.

Met Matthew for the first time on Sunday and he seems a really nice guy and appears a smart piece of recruitment by Andy and the board.

The positive stuff going on around match days and what seems a much improved relationship with RAFC is very encouraging.

Hopefully people will support the price cuts, discounts and offers the club are implementing 👏
