fevnut’s musings 2024/#10: Leigh, Fev against Super League and Part-timers beating Full-timers

Recommended Posts

Greetings to our rugby league friends

Every week of the season fevnut writes a blog that includes his ‘musings’ column.

We express our very positive feelings about the Fev performance at Leigh and in particular express our excitement at those tries from Manoa Wacokecoke and the huge potential demonstrated by our latest signing.

We then go on to take a look at the history of Fev playing Super League teams and finish by revealing all the occasions when Super League teams have been beaten by teams from the second and third tiers.

Access the article by using the link below and then by using the links on the top left-hand side of the page (by clicking on ‘Archive’) you can find all sorts of information including previous ‘fevnut’s musings’ articles.

Thanks, fevnut - an enjoyable, quite nostalgic read.

I seem to recall the Toulouse -v- Widnes quarter final upset being on BBC TV, with one of the rather non-plussed Vikings that day being Terry O'Connor, or do I imagine all that?

Enjoyed that although I don’t recall Leigh being in SL in 2014.

In fact, Fev and Bradford (I think) were the big hitters that season as I remember Ryan Brierley finishing Fev off in the second half.

Still, Fev still play some good stuff and I wish them well this year 👍
