Despite what Oxy will say, next week will be completey a different propostion v Fax.

It certainly will be. I watched Jonty Gorley's pre-game interview on YouTube and he was saying that he'd be playing whichever of his 18-man squad was least injured, it sounded like he was expecting a heavy defeat before they had even travelled. Whitehaven had a dig for 20 minutes and then capitulated, that's not to take anything away from us because we desperately needed a convincing win and got it in some style, but we didn't have much to beat in the last hour.

I watched Halifax's game at Sheffield, Sheffield basically smothered them with some good defence and controlled the game from start to finish. Liam Finn gave a rather bitter post-game interview but from watching the video it's hard to see how he can blame the ref, most of his decisions looked correct to me and Halifax blatantly lost thier cool as the game went on.

Not that our discipline has been much better, after conceding 15 penalties in Toulouse we managed to concede another 11 yesterday, that's some achievement when you've won 66-0! Another sin binning and 2 more incidents on report yesterday, we really need to improve this aspect of our game.

It's such a shame Patton is facing a long ban, it's amazing the impact he has on our attack when he gets the ball as we suddenly appear to have some shape. He knows exactly how to set up his dummy runners so that they hold defenders in the middle of the field and he knows how to then angle out to create the shape and space necessary to create openings. He reminds me a lot of Ridyard in that respect.

Will Finn be moaning if they win next week ? Lol he's nowt to fear with how our squad is shrinking with injuries and suspensions.

Just to add to that, neither of the two tries he created from kicks was on the last tackle - on both occasions he had spooted that the full back was defending in the line and exploited the situation perfectly, including with a left-footed kick for the first try.

Season ticket holders get into the ground parking free of charge so that is £5 a home game saved, if you want to park there of course. Much bewtter performance today and I think the bench players did well. Wonder how the line up will be next game.

Don't think they do
