Don't want to get into a debate - but Doncaster dominated first half and were only 2 points ahead at half time - second half Swinton were 20-16 up well on top, had two 40-20 kicks that we did score from the resulting possession, then got a man sin binned for a clumsy challenge and gave away three penalties in succession and allowed a soft try - by soft I mean two missed tackles on the try line - so yes we never closed down the game 🙂

Thought the sin bin was slightly harsh yes he did lift him but i wouldn't call it dangerous, Hall looked a good player for you. I think we very narrowly deserved the win but i have no doubt we will coming up against you again next season, good luck for the rest of the season 👍

Unfortunately hall is off to Widnes next year

Are the rumours true that most of the Swinton lads will be on holiday when the Keighley (or Rochdale) game comes round??

Probably same applies to Keighley (and Barrow).

Such a stupid RFL concept as per usual.

Well its not going to be a walk in the park for us going into the play off after a humiliating defeat at Bradford against a team (probably Keighley) that will be in the play off after two wins !

For me team selection has been an issue consistently selecting forwards that aren't big enough or fast enough to compete with the teams with big packs - which is most teams in the division.

Not playing Stephens till the back end of the season and also playing DRs that are young prospects but don't have any impact at Championship level - when we have players in the squad that don't get a look in.

Its been 30 odd years since I went to Cornwall looks like I should be looking ahead for some bargain long weekend deals.

It is a good job that the Whitehaven club descended into chaos for the last part of the season otherwise I fear Swinton would have taken their place as the relegated team without the chance of a play off game. Their players have shown great character and determination to keep competing despite all the adversity and finished with a win against Halifax today as Swinton fell to a toothless capitulation at Bradford.

If you watch the C1 play off games on The Sportsman channel you should feel reasonably confident against whoever wins their final. There seems to be a surfeit of tubby slow lads in C1.

Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.
