Pity he did not have the chance for his Challenge Cup Final medal in 1958.   So close (5-3 loss in our semi final). RIP

I think that I must be one of the few people who remember seeing him play. He was a very good player who always gave 100%. I think he played in the second row alongside George Parsons with Jim Parr at loose forward. All great players.

I missed the 1958 semi final because of a family wedding. As a 10 year old I was gutted. At the time I was convinced that if I had been there cheering them on they would have won.

Missed player

It was a very tense game Pedro.  I was standing behind the goal post when Les Jones just missed a crucial, but difficult conversion. One highlight was our winger, Italian Ferdi Corsi who helped to keep Billy Boston quiet….our team was so close to our Wembley day.

Won every round by three points margin then lost the semi by 2. No one left those games early!
