glemiln
Pity he did not have the chance for his Challenge Cup Final medal in 1958. So close (5-3 loss in our semi final). RIP https://orl-heritagetrust.org.uk/2024/08/25/reg-bailey-rip/ Apologies, as I overlooked that the announcement had been made earlier. Pedro
I think that I must be one of the few people who remember seeing him play. He was a very good player who always gave 100%. I think he played in the second row alongside George Parsons with Jim Parr at loose forward. All great players. I missed the 1958 semi final because of a family wedding. As a 10 year old I was gutted. At the time I was convinced that if I had been there cheering them on they would have won. glemiln
It was a very tense game Pedro. I was standing behind the goal post when Les Jones just missed a crucial, but difficult conversion. One highlight was our winger, Italian Ferdi Corsi who helped to keep Billy Boston quiet….our team was so close to our Wembley day. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1957–58_Challenge_Cup
Anita Bath
Won every round by three points margin then lost the semi by 2. No one left those games early!
