Impressive we're naming a squad for 901 years from now 😆

Sam Bowring 2025 contract extension confirmed yesterday morning

"New" signing in Ryan Johnson confirmed until 2026 yesterday evening

All coming together 💪

EDIT: Just seen your original post had been updated 🤕

Looking at the new signings so far:

Mikey Wood - forward with plenty of Championship experience

Elliot Morris - forward with plenty of Championship experience

Ryan Johnson - "new" but familiar to us because of playing on D/R so much the last two years. Has Championship experience with Sheffield.

Aiden Roden - three seasons in League One but loan experience in the Championship with Whitehaven and Widnes.

Zeus Silk - limited Championship experience but clearly did enough to impress Featherstone and Dewsbury , and seemingly well regarded by some big names in the sport.

The club doesn't seem to be done yet, but all of our signings feel like huge additions and mainly in the forwards where we've traditionally struggled. Hard not to be excited for 2025!

Jose Kenga the most recent addition - another forward with a fair bit of experience in both Championship and League One sides but under 100 games despite being closed to 30 than 25. That said, give him an opportunity and some regular game time and I think he'll be a smashing asset for us.

I thought Micky Wood did ok with Swinton in the championship, should be good at Div 1 level

For me Mickey Wood didn't seem to make much ground with ball and he is a big man, but his tackling was good. Jose Kenga will work really hard and a good tackler from what I remember when he was at Swinton.

Can see Bearman's updated his squad list already but we're now at 23 with the recent confirmations of:

Ethan Newboult: an unproven youngster who Mark and Leigh clearly saw potential in when at Bradford. Could be a useful backup at 9 with Barcoe and Roden.

Sullivan Medforth: another unproven youngster but we got glimpses of his potential in the three games he played for us. Was difficult to assess him against Oldham and Cornwall because they weren't great games but he was dangerous against Hunslet. Strikes me that he'll only improve with more game time - suspect he has more chance of doing that at FB than in the halves due to competition from McLelland, Sweeting and Hewitt.

We'll have to start guessing our first 17 soon!

Travis Corion can certainly run, two tries for us against Wakefield, but teach him to catch the high ball and improve his defence.
