Can someone explain to me please what is the point of these now. Wakefield already promoted and no one else going up, so what are they actually playing for ? Is it just more money for the clubs the further they go ? As I see it at the moment it's just extra games for already battered players. Or am I completely missing something?

Yeah I think it's all just about money now, I worry for the championship/L1 now with IMG coming in, it won't take long for owners to stop investing in teams if they have no realistic chance of getting promoted

Judging by the gradings from the start of year Toulouse may replace Castleford as well.
