THE Silverbacks Legends will play their last match of the year on Saturday (September 12).
Coaches Johnny Morgan and Dave Evans are taking their side – who raise much-needed funds for a wide range of charities – to Stanningley for a game that will kick-off at 4.00pm, after the host club play neighbours East Leeds in a National League Division One derby.
An impressive number of former stars will feature in the Silverbacks’ 30-man squad, including the likes of Ryan Atkins, Danny Brough, James Brown, Wayne Godwin, Steve Morton, Scott Murrell, Wayne Price, Steve Snitch and Lee Trigg.
Rugby League Cares and the Stanningley Grassroots charities will benefit from the occasion.
A total of £10,500 was raised at a recent Silverbacks game at Drighlington, and £6,000 at Batley.
