Kingstone Press Championship league leaders Batley could send prop Sean Hesketh to partner club Oxford in the coming weeks as he continues his push for full fitness.
The former Keighley frontrower is now available again, but coach John Kear confirmed he won’t be considered for selection until he has featured in League One. Hooker James Davey is also ready to play, and could feature in the Challenge Cup tie with Whitehaven.
Kear said: “It’s my intention to make some changes for that game to help keen us fresh and energised.” Chris Ulugia (ankle) and Joe Chandler (head test) were set for late checks ahead of Sunday’s home game with Workington.”
