Huddersfield determined to improve, says Broughton

Huddersfield Giants winger Jodie Broughton insists the club are determined to right some wrongs this week, as they prepare for a huge clash against Warrington Wolves.

The Giants are coming into the game off the back of a defeat to the Catalan Dragons last time out – their second defeat of the season already. However, Broughton believes the Giants can overcome the Wolves on Sunday, so long as they show improvement.

“We didn’t play to the standards we expect at this club last week and we’ve had a look at ourselves,” Broughton claimed.

“It’s a long trip to go all the way there; you fly to Barcelona and then you have to hang around in your hotel waiting for the game. It’s different to what you would normally do on a matchday, but that’s no excuse.

“We want to right a lot of wrongs from last week against Warrington this week. There’s a lot of demons from last year with the boys too involving Warrington.

“We just have to play our game and hopefully force the errors from them.”
