Michael Channing relishing London clash

Castleford centre Michael Channing insists the Tigers will not be taking the London Broncos lightly tonight, as he prepares to go up against his former side.

Channing spent two seasons at the Broncos before being released to join up with Daryl Powell this season. He admits the Tigers will be taking the game just as serious as any other, despite the Broncos’ dismal start to the season.

“We’re not going down there thinking anything will be easy; we’re playing our strongest side and we’re not going to underestimate them,” Channing said.

“It will be good to see some of the old faces, and it will be great to have a go at my old club.”

Channing will be reunited with several of his former teammates tonight – as well as former housemates!

“I lived with Kieran Dixon, Will Lovell, Erjon Dollapi and Mike McMeeken. It was a pretty full house and you can imagine the things we got up to!

“I speak to them all the time, because they’re close friends. I’ve played with them for a few years and see how they’re getting on.”
