Huddersfield Giants coach Jim Lenihan was disappointed with the last-minute defeat to Wakefield Trinity but pleased with the amount of character his players showed as they fell to a late 29-23 loss.
“Again, it was good improvement for us this week,” he said.
“I thought we got off to a tough start, but I’m very happy with the response that we had. We’re on that learning part, but the other learning part is the energy and effort that goes into a game.
“Unfortunately, right at the end we got beaten. [But] it’s the best they’ve played under me. We’re on a journey of building a football team and club and all of this is part of it.
“It’s not hard to see the improvement that has been coming week on week on week. Mentally and physically, we’re growing tougher.”
