HUNSLET are happy to have Alfie Goddard back on board after signing him from community-club neighbours Hunslet ARLFC for the remainder of the campaign.
The 26-year-old former Leeds Rhinos Academy outside back first played for Hunslet between March 2023, when he joined after a stint in Australia with New South Wales ‘Country’ team Mullumbimby Giants, and April 2025, when he moved to Keighley Cougars.
Having turned out 31 times for the south Leeds side, including in the League One play-off final win at Keighley and subsequent Championship promotion/relegation triumph at Swinton Lions, he made four appearances for the Cougars last season.
The Stanningley product was back in the Hunslet team for the recent 52-6 defeat at Newcastle, with coach Kyle Trout saying: “Alfie has been in great form this season for Hunslet ARLFC, working under the stewardship of Jamie Fields and his team.
“His performances have sparked his hunger to step up and play semi-professional rugby again, and we are pleased to give him that opportunity.”
There is an agreement in place allowing him to play for Hunslet ARLFC in the National League Premier Division if not needed by Trout.
