“I’d never live it down if we lost,” says Hill

Warrington Wolves forward Chris Hill admits that given how he still lives in Leigh, he’d probably never be able to live it down if his Wolves side succumbed to the Centurions this Saturday.

Hill famously started his career with Leigh and played over 100 games for the Centurions before moving to Warrington in 2011, going on to become one of the best front row forwards in world rugby.

And he believes that if Warrington become the third Super League side to exit the cup at the hands of Leigh, it would be particularly tough for him given his location.

“I’d never live it down [if Warrington lost] I don’t think, as I still live in the Leigh area,” he said.

He told BBC Radio Merseyside: “It will be an interesting tie and especially one for me as well, obviously with playing for Leigh for so long.”
