JOE BURGESS has signed a new one-year deal with Hull KR, keeping him at Craven Park until the end of the 2027 Super League season.
Burgess has become a key figure in the Robins’ backline, scoring 42 tries in just 48 appearances since arriving at the club from Salford Red Devils ahead of the 2024 season.
The experienced winger enjoyed a career-best season in 2025, helping Hull KR to a historic Treble – winning the Super League, Challenge Cup, and League Leaders’ Shield.
Speaking on his new deal, Burgess said: “I’ve loved my time in East Hull since I moved over. The people and the city are lovely. All the lads are great, and we’ve really gelled over the past two years.
“It shows with winning the Treble last year, and we get to go again this year and try to do it again.
“To be able to do it all over again with my best friend, Gilly (Oliver Gildart) I can’t ask for much more. He can send me into the corner a few more times over the next two seasons.“
Hull KR boss Willie Peters, added: “Joe (Burgess) has been outstanding since he joined the club in January 2024.
“He’s a great finisher, as we all know, but it’s what he does off the ball that impresses me and his teammates. Joe is a character off the field and a popular member of the dressing room.
“Joe was rewarded for an outstanding year by playing for England in last year’s Ashes Series.”
