KURT HAGGERTY believes his Bradford Bulls side are “ready” for Super League games now.
The Bulls were one of three Championship clubs – alongside Toulouse Olympique and York Knights – to be given the nod to the top flight for 2026.
Since then, Haggerty has led an aggressive recruitment drive that has seen the likes of Super League players Rowan Milnes, Jayden Nikorima, Ethan Ryan and Andy Ackers make the move to Odsal.
There is only so much a team can do on the training field, however, and ahead of the Bulls’ clash against London Broncos in the Challenge Cup – if the Broncos overcome amateur side Wests Warriors – Haggerty has insisted Bradford are ready for Super League.
“We’re ready for games now, the lads have gone through a ten-week pre-season now,” Haggerty said.
“We are certainly ready for games. We need to get into the cycle of Super League games.
“We’ve got London in the Challenge Cup so that’s pretty much a Super League fixture before we get into the season.
“The journey we have been on in ten weeks has been amazing. We need to kick on for the rest of the year.”
Haggerty has also given an injury update on Joe Mellor, Guy Armitage, Ebon Scurr and Zac Fulton.
“I’m hoping they will be back for London but if not then round one,” he said.
“Zac got a dead calf against Doncaster and he struggled after that. He will be available for London.”
