LEIGH LEOPARDS are once more counting the injury cost with another three players ruled out for the foreseeable future.
The Leopards have had numerous players sidelined for much of the early part of the 2026 Super League season, and three more will miss out against Castleford Tigers tomorrow night.
“Tesi (Niu) has got a hamstring strain which hasn’t been ideal for us so we are taking precautions for that.
“Umyla (Hanley) has a groin strain, he received that with about 20 minutes to go in the last game (against Hull FC).
“He will be out for three to four weeks.
“He was as good as any player in Super League two weeks ago. He competes harder than almost anyone in the game.
“He plays at such a high intensity that there is a risk of soft tissue injury and that’s the nature of the beast.
“AJ Towse is also out with a similar injury to what Bevan French suffered, he will be out for around ten weeks.”
