LEIGH LEOPARDS are slowly gaining on the top six after their slow start to the season, lying just two points outside the six after their Round 16 win in Toulouse.
And they come into this game for their sixth Magic Weekend clash – their first against Warrington – with an unchanged squad from the one that triumphed in France. Of their top 21 squad numbers, only wingers Keanan Brand and AJ Towse are unavailable for selection.
Warrington coach Sam Burgess faces more problems, with Josh Thewlis, Jordan Crowther and Arron Lindop all missing from the squad that gained a close win against Catalans Dragons, which could give an opportunity to some of the club’s fringe players, with Jake Thewlis possibly due to start on the wing.
The Wolves are still sitting in second place in the table, two points behind Leeds with a game in hand, but they will face one of the biggest tests of their season on Saturday in the game that completes the first day of the Magic Weekend at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium.
