How it unfolded
31’ – Adam Reynolds slots a penalty goal to open the scores: 2-0.

36’ – Sam Burgess powers his way over to extend the Rabbitohs’ lead. Reynolds converted the try: 8-0.

52’ – Bulldogs winger Mitch Brown gets his side back into the game with an impressive finish down the left side. Trent Hodkinson added the extras from the touchline: 8-6.

64’ – Souths stand-off John Sutton somehow puts the ball down through a pile of bodies to get the Rabbitohs, with another Reynolds kick, two scores ahead: 14-6.

68’ – Canterbury winger Corey Thompson forces his way over down the right side and Hodkinson lands another touchline kick to bring the Bulldogs within two again: 14-12.

72’ – Hodkinson then slots a comfortable penalty to level the tie: 14-14.

78’ – Hodkinson lands his second match-winning field-goal in two weeks to give the Bulldogs the lead for the first time and the two points: 14-15.
