My issues are behind me says Bailey as he lands Wolves deal

Warrington Wolves prop Ryan Bailey has insisted his issues of the past are behind him – and he’s excited to get back to work with Tony Smith.

Bailey has signed a shock one-year deal with Warrington for 2016, linking up with Smith again after the two worked together at Leeds in the past.

And Bailey admit that the challenge of joining Warrington is something that excites him, and says any issues he had in the past are now fully behind him.

“I am really excited by my move to the Warrington Wolves, working under Tony again and with the strong exciting squad he is building for 2016 is something I am particularly looking forward to.

“It is no secret that in the past I have had some issues, all that is now behind me. I had some of my best times under Tony at the Rhinos. I can’t wait to meet up with the boys, knuckle down and get stuck in to pre-season.”

Smith himself said: “It is no secret that Ryan has had a chequered past.

“However, he is fully aware of the special conditions set out within his contract and the standards expected of all Warrington Wolves players.

“During my time coaching Ryan at Leeds we had a fantastic relationship and I never experienced any issues.”
