Strong rumours linking Bradford Bulls prop Nick Scruton with a move away from the Provident Stadium were quashed last night.
The 29-year-old took to his Twitter account to assure a worried fan that he was not, as reports suggested, set to follow half-back Jarrod Sammut to Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.
The news will be comforting for the Bulls who have already lost influential forward Garreth Carvell to Hull FC.
Another player of that ilk deserting them, combined with an impending points deduction for going into administration, would surely make them favourites for relegation.
