Part of KC Stadium to close for Hull games in 2016

Hull FC have issued the following statement to their supporters having been informed by the Stadium Management Company that the North Stand will be closed from 2016 and away supporters will be relocated to the east stand.

Club Statement: “The Stadium Management Company have contacted Hull FC to inform us that the North Stand will be closed for the 2016 season, due to cost cutting measures.

“They have advised Hull FC that they intend to relocate away supporters at Hull FC matches to the north end of the East Stand, the same section of the stadium that is now used for Hull City football fixtures.

“The club are acutely aware of the inconvenience and change of routine for a lot of supporters who sit in the north end of the East Stand and we would like to apologise in advance for any disruption this will cause.

“The club will remain committed to doing all it can to minimise the effect this disruption will have for our supporters.

“The closure of the North Stand, with the exception of the Hull FC v Hull Kingston Rovers fixture, will mean a reduction in unreserved seats in the East stand.

“The closure is part of a cost cutting exercise by the Stadium Management Company and not a decision made by Hull FC.

“Whilst we’re extremely disappointed by this decision, we understand the financial reasons involved.”
