Radford backs Hull FC for a top-four push

Hull FC coach Lee Radford believes his side are still in contention for the top four in Super League – and says a win against Wigan tonight would go a long way towards doing that.

The Black and Whites have confirmed their spot in the top eight after winning at Hull KR last weekend, and know that another win tonight against the high-flying Warriors would strengthen their position heading into the start of the Super 8s.

And Radford told the Yorkshire Post that it’s vital his side are within reach of the top four when the mini-league begins – which makes tonight a vital game.

“We want to make sure we pick two points up (at Wigan) and we’re in contention for the top four,” he said.

“If we do, it would be four from four going into the eights.

“We’ve just got to do everything we can to be in the mix because you want to be in touching distance when you go into the top-eight.
