ST HELENS co-head coaches Craig Richards and Derek Hardman have rewarded numerous players for their efforts last season with new squad numbers, after revealing their 30-woman squad for the 2026 season.
Rebecca Rotheram has regained the number one shirt she last held in 2023, replacing Wigan-bound Beri Salihi as first choice fullback, while 2025 Players’ Player of the Year for 2025, Rachael Woosey, has been awarded the number three shirt following outstanding performances at centre.
The club’s current Young Player of the Year, Erin McDonald, will now wear 16, while Luci McColm (18), Alyx Bridge (20) and Hollie Bawden (21) also move up in the squad list.
Ever-presents in the Under 19s side last year, Olivia Leach and Zoe King have been handed the 23 and 24 shirts respectively, with impressive prop Tracy Ojeaburu also handed her first squad number (26).
Key new signing Paige Travis, who has returned from a spell with Parramatta Eels in the NRLW, takes shirt number 14, indicting real strength in the Saints forward pack. Shona Hoyle retains her squad number from last season, but will feature under her married name of Hoyle-Holdsworth.
Other new recruits Mikayla Gillespie, Jadine McVernon and Emme McVernon will wear 27, 28 and 29 respectively.
