RYAN CARR was happy to say the least with Castleford Tigers’ 36-18 win over Toulouse Olympique.
The Tigers led 24-0 at half-time before conceding three late tries, but coach Carr was enthused by what he saw in victory.
“That’s probably our fifth good performance in a row now,” Carr said.
“Take away the result, it’s about how you perform and I thought we suffocated them for the first 40 minutes in particular.
“We threw a lot of energy and effort into our game and we didn’t chase the points.
“The discipline we showed and us sticking to our plan was pleasing.
“We knew Toulouse are a team that, if you give them errors and penalties, they capitalise on it and they did that in the last 15 minutes.
“Usually I am disappointed (about conceding tries), I am a perfectionist but to play the game like we did for the first 65 minutes takes its toll.”
