HULL KR have opted to rest the majority of their first-choice players for their final match of the regular season at St Helens.
Of the side which beat Huddersfield Giants last Friday to secure their play-off place, only Sauaso Sue, Sam Luckley and Bill Leyland have been named in the 21-man squad for this Friday’s game.
Mikey Lewis is set to be given a run-out after completing a two-match ban, a second in succession which means he’s only played one of their last eight games.
But it will otherwise be a vastly inexperienced side, even more so than the one beaten at Wigan Warriors two weeks ago when coach Willie Peters similarly rang the changes.
Ryan Westerman, Flynn Holden, Alex Gorman, Theo Middlemas, Alfie Petty, Harrison Horne and Teo Ema could all make senior club debuts.
It means the odds are in favour of retiring Saints stars Mark Percival and Jonny Lomax enjoying a victorious farewell, at the end of an otherwise miserable season in which the club failed to make the Super League play-offs for the first time.
Their pack is boosted by returns for Curtis Sironen (knee), Jed Cartwright (quad) and Daniel Suluka-Fifita (suspension). Shane Wright, Tyler McGann and Alfie Tate drop out.
