WARRINGTON WOLVES will rest a host of players on Friday with one eye on their play-off campaign starting the following week.

Sam Burgess’ side are guaranteed to be playing in a home eliminator, although there is still a chance of them dropping from third place to fourth.

Josh Thewlis, Toby King, Albert Hopoate and Matty Ashton won’t line up in the backs, while Sam Stone, Ben Currie, Liam Byrne and Kelepi Tanginoa won’t feature in the forward pack.

Of the eight fresh faces brought into the 21-man squad to replace them, Pat Irwin and Daniel Coop are potential debutants.

Opponents Toulouse Olympique are hoping to clinch eighth place and, in doing so, finish the season as the best French club.

But they will have to do so without Olly Ashall-Bott, who suffered a rib injury on his return to action in last Friday’s win over Hull FC.

Rob Butler replaces him in the only change to Sylvain Houles’ squad.
