Thomas Lacans signs new Toulouse Olympique deal

THOMAS LACANS has joined Paul Ulberg and Mathieu Jussaume in signing a new deal with Toulouse Olympique.

Halfback Lacans, who joined in March 2025 from Featherstone Rovers, has signed a two-year contract.

Winger Ulberg has signed a one-year extension with an option for 2028, while back-rower Jussaume has committed for the next three years.

The trio’s signatures follow star fullback Olly Ashall-Bott penning a deal through to 2030 as Toulouse prepare to be in Super League for the long haul under coach Sylvain Houles.

All four played in the club’s Championship Grand Final victory over York Knights last October and have been regular features in their top-flight return.

Lacans, 25, said: “I am very happy to continue the adventure here in Toulouse, and proud to be able to represent this club and France in Super League.”

Cook Islander Ulberg, 30, said: “I am delighted to be able to extend my stay here and continue to give my all for the club. The future looks bright.”

Jussaume, 27, who has spent his whole career with Toulouse, said: “I’m delighted to extend my contract with my boyhood club, in my hometown, alongside this team and coaching staff.

“I’m very proud to continue playing my part in the club’s project, which I fully believe in, over the next three years.”
