The full squads for all 16 teams taking part in this weekend’s Auckland Nines have been announced.
A crowd of 90,000 is expected for the exciting event, which is essentially a nine-a-side knockout tournament with a hefty purse. It is to be shown live on Premier Sports.
It’s easy to see why so many tickets have been sold when you take a look at the players taking part. Former Wigan stars Sam Tomkins (Warriors) and Pat Richards (Tigers) are both involved, as are new Broncos signing Ben Barba and rugby union legend Lote Tuquiri, who lines up for new club South Sydney. New Zealand scrum half Shaun Johnson (Warriors), is also in the mix.
