Wakefield and Salford agree swap deal as Pauli Pauli and Junior Sa’u head other ways

Wakefield and Salford have agreed a one-month swap deal that will see Pauli Pauli and Junior Sa’u move clubs.

The two clubs have come to the agreement in order to ensure both players get game time in the next number of weeks.

Sa’u hasn’t featured for Salford since their defeat to Wigan at the end of April. The centre has made just seven appearances for the Red Devils this campaign but will get game time under Chris Chester, who has seen his backline decimated through injury.

Meanwhile, Pauli Pauli has been regular at Wakefield this season, making 12 appearances. However, he was hauled off during the club’s narrow victory over Huddersfield two weeks ago, being subbed after a 12 minute period in which Huddersfield scored three tries, and he didn’t return thereafter.

Both players will be in contention to debut this weekend. Wakefield travel to London while Salford face St Helens.
