OLDHAM duo Ben O’Keefe and Sam Littler are both keen to make a big impression on the Boundary Park scene.
Former Wigan centre O’Keefe, 23, is going into his third campaign as a Roughyed since moving from Rochdale and aiming to build on his 13 tries in twelve appearances in 2024 and five in 13 last time around.
Backrower Littler, 18, has been signed on a one-year contract after playing for Salford’s second team, with Oldham director of rugby Mike Ford seeing plenty of potential.
O’Keefe, who had injury issues last season, says there is plenty more to come from him, explaining: “We have nowhere near seen the best of me.
“I need to get in a good pre-season and the main thing is to stay fit. I missed 16 weeks this year so I will keep doing extras and keep the body ticking over.
“Pre-season is where you build the foundations. We have a new group of lads with a few new faces and everyone is enjoying it, which is what it is all about.”
Littler spent some time training with Oldham last season and is delighted to be fully on board.
“They are a club really on the up and I can’t wait to rip in. We are striving for Super League and that is a great thing to be involved in,” he said.
“I’m ready to work hard. Everything I do I do to the best of my ability.
“I was with Salford Academy and Reserves last season and got the opportunity to train with the first team. You train and play with some high-level players there.
“Here at Oldham I think I can learn loads more. You only need to look at the experience of this team and the players who have been at the top level for a very long time.
“In just the sessions I have done I have been learning straight away and it is really good to be a part of that.”
