True, the lawn at home was solid at 1700 and DVS is open and exposed from the east so I'm not optimistic

We need ESO to have a curry and go breathe on it

The game is surely as good as off.

I personally hope the weather doesnt permit...... And keep not permitting until you move to Brammall lane. I personally hate Don Valley, there is no atmosphere and the players are soooooooooooooooooooo far away......

Bad luck. Doubt if the RFL will let it drag on that long.

Why? I take it you don't support us? So why would it affect you where we're playing?

To say you hope we can't play our games because you don't like the venue is a bit daft.

I doubt the RFL would have any say in it if the weather keept freezing the pitch and making it un-playable. I know they like to think that they are gods, but even they couldnt affect that..... laugh.gif

No, but I do support Halifax, so it does affect whether I come to Sheffield or not.

As I say, I dont like Don Valley, but as a supporter I have turned out year on year for our game there. I am hoping that Brammall Lane will make the whole day more enjoyable.

Who says we'll be playing it at Bramall Lane if it keeps freezing till June ? huh.gif

Maybe we only have a contract for the nine games already scheduled.

Just come and support your team. They don't have the option of staying away.

A Club Official puts the dampers on the long suffering Eagles fans again!!!! All Challenge Cup and All Play Off games will be played @ Don Valley Stadium or any other Mickey Mouse Stadium that can be found......The Sheffield Nomads RLFC is on the agenda for the next Red Hall Beano!!!!

I do support my team, I always have done, and I always will, no matter where you play, even though I dont particularly like the don valley stadium, as a rugby venue. It was just a comment about the lack of atmosphere and the poor view of the game at the Don Valley stadium and my hope of a better atmosphere when we come to watch Halifax play you at Brammall Lane. But hey ho, i'll be there.

My apologies. I thought you said this.

But we'll be pleased to see you when you come.

Did Halifax want this match not to go ahead for a different reason????? They could not afford the coach fare???

In tonight's Halifax Evening Courier the Chief Executive reveals that their sponsor who had agreed to put a 6 figure sum over 2 years into the club has now gone bust!!

Also all their pre-season matches had been cancelled and the stand still hasn't been completed. They are now offering a replica shirt to persons buying a season ticket in an attempt to get some money in.

How long before the buckets are out?
