Well, in the battle of the doom and gloom merchants, Hull FC won at an absolute canter.
I was always confident. I've seen too many of Richard Agar's coached teams to expect anything else but a pathetic, clueless display.
Hull fans are a loyal lot, Lord knows we still turn up in our considerable thousands every season but after the last three season's efforts, now is the time to start voting with our feet.
As has already been mentioned several times on here, we are in a false position in the table. It makes me smile when I hear poor deluded friends talk about where we will finish in the top 4/8, whatever. It will make no difference to the outcome of our first (possible) play off game. Home or away, we will get beat by a team that wants to play for their coach and fans and who will deserve to progress on merit.
My team are a long, long way from that description.

On 13/2/2013, Hull City's owners the Allams, released a statement in their position as the owners of the KC Stadium Management Committee. One line in this statement read as follows....
"The SMC's principal responsibility is to remain neutral"

Quite
Those of us who watch the team week in week out have known that a stuffing like that has been on the cards for weeks.
I don't know how much more evidence the club need that our head coach is out of his depth.

That was a really good outing for Wakefield given their recent form especially the week before. The players out there showed up in most of the areas they have been deficent in previously. I guess the impartial viewer would have been more entertained with the reckless/feckless play and weak defence that we have been used to watching but what can I say. Hopefully that will be a platform for a better showing next week and a little more improvement in all aspects.

I watched the game on Sky with the sound off as I was in a pub and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I think Hull were controlled very well by a Wakefield side with excellent tactics for the heat, and the team they were up against. They scored 29 unanswered points, missed only a handful of tackles and pinned their opposition in their own half for the bulk of the the game. They worked their tries well, kicked better than Hull and controlled both their discipline and the ball far better than their visitors. Massively expansive Wakefield's game plan it wasn't but that's surely the way to play in such stifling conditions.
I read on here what an awful game it was and wondered if I'd been dreaming. I watched the Sky+ recording of the game, where for 80 minutes (plus half times and summary) I endured Eddie Hemmings moan, whine, and whinge about the Wakefield approach. They played a very professional game in the conditions, it wasn't dull. Hull, who had a very bad day at the office, seemed immune from criticism by Hemmings (and the idiot from Dewsbury), and yet they were effectively taken to the cleaners by a "workmanlike" side.
We don't give enough credit to sides when they stop other sides playing in this country. Wakefield played very well in defence, and whilst their attack was less than potent or polished at times, they had more than enough to beat one of the sides well above them in the league table, and keep them scoreless for over 70 minutes.
Could it be that the constant moaning and belittling of Hemmings and the fool from Dewsbury managed to influence some of the opinions of the game by posters on here? Give me Wakefield Vs Hull FC over Spain Vs Holland in the global spectacle of the FIFA world cup any time.

I wasn;t influenced by them - I thought it was gash long before they started rambling
Now then, it's a race between Sandie....and Fairburn....and the little man is in........yeees he's in.
I, just like those Castleford supporters felt that the ball should have gone to David Plange but he put the bit betwen his teeth...and it was a try
Kevin Ward - best player I have ever seen

The real Mick Gledhill is what you see on here, a Bradford fan ........, but deep down knows that Bradford are just not good enough to challenge the likes of Leeds & St Helens.

I guess you are like many other of the posters on here; you don't really like Rugby League.

Incorrect - it was a boring spectacle
That dosn't mean me saying that Wakefield were poor or that they didn't do their job correctly - quite the opposite. Simliar to the Wimbledon FC days and "1-0" to the Arsenal
As I said, as a spectacle it was very very boring
Now don't be so touchy
