  1. The reserve referee and his brother used to play for us, fact fans.
  2. That's the spirit!
  3. He's going nowhere.
  4. Disrespectful to Newcastle that really, glad they stuffed them. Remember all too well going there with York and them putting 98 on us, it was just a big old laugh to them. Now look eh?
  5. So do we, that’s why we’ve signed one of their best players.
  6. Cos it's the cup and not the league? There's only a small chance of it happening anyway, but I'm sure it would be a better contest than say Hull KR v Lock Lane for instance. I'd also wager the "feeder" team's players going all out to get one over on the SL club.
  7. Let them enter the cup and if they draw each other the clubs have to deal with it. It'd make it interesting if nothing else. I would have loved it if York had drawn Newcastle this year and I'm sure the players would have done as well.
  8. You really should have mentioned it was Mick Gledhill that posted thet to save any confusion. He's posted it to cause confusion & worry amongst fans, the bloke is an absolute whopper.
  9. We're not going down.
  10. Not once have I ever knocked any clubs fans for not travelling. It’s a weird argument that people should spend all their free time and money travelling to what are essentially grim northern towns just to watch a game of rugby. You also either have no idea what York is as a city and club or are just on a wind up, so I’ll just park the discussion there.
  11. Problem is, a number of RL fans don’t understand basic facts. If they can’t get their heads round the difference in distance from Widnes to St Helens, then York to St Helens what chance have we got when we give them actual numbers? If York were playing at a stadium less than 9 miles from their own (which would be still in York), we’d be taking the majority of our home crowd.
  12. We’ve been in SL for 4 months ffs. York fans had to leave work early, set off at 4pm and didn’t get home until gone midnight, plus spend £31 on a ticket for a game that I could have just sat in my living room to watch. In the time it takes a Wigan, Warrington, Leigh fan to travel from home to St Helens ground, I’d still be on the York ring road. Sick of hearing this rubbish from people who clearly don’t understand basic geography.
  13. If a player fails a HIA after foul play, the offending player should then get 10 minutes in the bin.
