  1. There is a 16 page thread I started on the main forum with the title “Reserve Clubs” though.
  2. I’ll be sure to repay the favour when our reserves put 40 on you.
  3. That’s all fine as long as the expansion clubs do it all by magic, without an investor or any assistance from anyone experienced in running a rugby league club. Otherwise, it’s simply not on.
  4. York have sent quite a few players to Newcastle on dual reg for the past 2 seasons as it happens.
  5. Can’t really get too hung up on “the integrity of the competition”when we’ve had one of the big clubs not make the start line owing thousands to players and coaches, another drop out of SL, go bust then start from scratch with a weeks notice, one of the top Championship clubs falling out with the landlord, fixtures being plucked out of thin air to fill blank weekends, a league where some teams don’t play each other… Yet here we are losing our minds about an expansion club having a decent, competitive side and some top facilities to train at. Give over.
  6. That's a really nice shirt. One of the best this year.
  7. So a rubbish club with little interest going from crowds in the low hundreds in the lower leagues to multiple thousands in Super League in a decade isn’t in anyway comparable? It is literally the exact same thing.
  8. The system was comparable in that we had Leeds coaching staff and access to players and facilities, not exactly the same but this did help to develop a local York lad into an England international so well worth the effort IMO.
  9. Where are Newcastle getting a competitive Championship squad from if all their best local players are playing Yorkshire Men's League then?
  10. So we're talking real life and you've quoted 5k, which is an imaginary figure made up by another poster. Nice one.
  11. So going from crowds of 246 to a 8500 sell out in 10 years is nothing? Alright then.

  14. That's the spirit!
  15. The council wanted to redevelop the stadium for both the football club and the Knights, but the then club owner didn't want that to happen so he went on a bit of a scorched earth policy.
