Posts I've Made

In Topic: best game you ever saw

26 July 2014 - 07:57 PM

2005 Challenge Cup Final, when FC beat Leeds. I was an exhausted, emotional wreck by the end of it.

In Topic: smoking at stadiums

But I think the result of "second hand drinking" is more than second hand smoking. I reckon it causes far more problems than smoking ever will.

How does other people drinking affect you?

Drinking poisons the individual drinking; smoking poisons the smoker and the passive smokers in the vicinity.

Drinking to excess may cause bad behaviour the drinker, but only then might drinking affect others. One cigarette is all it takes to cause others bodily harm.

Give me 'annoyance' over tar in my lungs any day!

In Topic: could fans run a club

So he's a fan then

I presume you're insinuating all rugby fans know sod all about the game in this post and include yourself in this sweeping generalisation.

Hull FC was just another business acquisition for Pearson, the seventh in his portfolio. He was not a fan of the game and knew nothing about it when he bought the club.

Lee Richardson's honesty seemed to upset one or two Rovers fans.

Colin made my day!

They offered me HKR, but then this old geezer with a beard and a pointly hat gave me a good price on these magic beans.... ;)

This is exactly what happened to Pearson. He ate the beans that the wizened man gave him, then bought Hull FC. Three days later he woke up in hospital with a monster headache and a huge black hole in his bank balance.

The moral of the story: don't eat the magic beans.
