One of the best refs outside of Super League, give him the slightest reason to blow his whistle and he will, simple solution is don't give him the opportunity. Too many people seem happy to blame refs for too much these days, they're only human and will always make the odd mistake.

After working full time, spending time with my family and having other time consuming hobbies I have no spare time sorry, hats off to all volunteers who do their bit, I personally can't. I do my bit by attending as many games as possible around my shifts and paying in to the lotto.

I don't really see how my original post about the shirt was derogatory at all, just a simple opinion. From what I've been told about your comments on social media saying some bell end on the forum has been slagging the shirt off, I would say they are pretty poor comments, and the reason I no longer follow the club on Facebook / Twitter as it is so unprofessional it's not even funny!

When the club deserves credit I'm more than happy to give it as are most fans, you need to learn how to take the rough with the smooth instead of attacking people who disagree with you.

Buy it, or don't buy it, but don't knock it!!!

However sales from last night would disagree with you, fortunately for the club, it seems plenty love it!

Why don't keep your negative opinions to yourself!!!!

I'll give my opinion whether you like it or not ta, the club can't always have positive opinions, maybe you shouldn't be involved if you can't take critiscm!!!!!!!!!! As for the shirt, no I don't like it but each to there own. I hope plenty do buy it.

Just seen a photo of the new home jersey on the Evening Mail website, not good at all, is the photo on the back for real?

I think Soss's point is that it wouldn't have taken much to put in on the website / Facebook / twitter so more people would have known the meeting was taking place.

Personally not bothered if he's there or not, seems petty banning him for Sundays game, like he said the only reason he wants to be there is to coach Crusaders not talk about the ongoing issues he is having with the board. This season go's from one farce to another!

Right, can I say to all the critics of the BOD, are you willing to step forward and say i'll go on the BOD or do anything to help? If not, shut the #### up. Secondly, great post by Pip. I know Pip and he's a passionate supporter who wants nothing but the best for the club. I'm beginning to wonder about some of the doom merchants on here. Third, the BOD have said we already have applicants. Lets wait and see who they are. We might be surprised. Cresta, Broady, Clarkey. If they don't want the job, we don't want them. Same with the players.
To me, CLUB + SUPPORTERS = Don't walk in front, I might not follow. Don't walk behind, I might not lead. Walk with me, together.

I was told off the other day on Barrow Raiders official Facebook page for having the cheek to give my opinion, I was told the place for this is the forum ( here ). Now your telling people who give an opinion that doesn't suit you or the BOD that they have to shut the **** up, nice! The BOD will always receive praise and critiscm, you have to take the rough with the smooth. Most fans do there bit by going through the turnstiles paying into the lotto etc... Which entitles them to an opinion, whether you agree with them or not.

Do people actually think if Cresta was coaching this year it would of turned out any differently? If so you are well and truly deluded.

The players signed weren't good enough simple as that. Sheffield and Batley are near the relegation zone. Everyone in the league has increased their standards whilst we assembled a worse squad than last year.

What would Cresta of done differently? The players would still be getting beat. We went and signed Dom Speakman rivals Keighley signed Paul Handforth. Whitehaven sign players like Brett Seymour and Jesse Joe Parker and look who we go and sign, a load of players with minimal first team experience.

Goulding has an ego there is no doubt but he clearly respects the club. A lot of work needs to go in but at least he admits it and wants to try do it. IMO we do need a full time coach for a couple of years to try and rebuild. I wouldn't mind a rolling full time contract tbh.

If you are using results for your argument against BG then use another one because it isn't valid at all. The players just aren't good enough.

Who are you to tell people they are deluded?

There's a good chance that Paul Crarey wouldn't have signed most of this years squad so how can you say things wouldn't have been any different?

Goulding has been here long enough now to make a difference and has brought in a few of his own players, yet nothing has changed, so yes he can be judged on results.

The last 2 home games attendances have shown what people think of the current situation.

#2966584 Is Goulding the right man to take us forward?

Posted by RAIDERSRUS on 27 July 2014 - 05:29 PM

I was more than happy to give Goulding a chance when he came in, but all he has done is show what a loose cannon he is. You can't have your head coach constantly mouthing off at referees, touch judges, players etc.... He's had long enough now to make some sort of difference but nothing has changed, don't forget he has brought a few of his own players in so he can't keep blaming the squad he inherited. Offer Paul Crarey the job and make it worth his while to do it.

#2959491 Has this season been as bad as 2005

Posted by RAIDERSRUS on 15 July 2014 - 02:31 PM

If Murray had stayed things would have been no different to now, he should never have got the job in the first place. He was a cheap option to go with the cheap squad.

If Barrow win he'll be a good ref, if Barrow lose it will be the refs fault and he'll be given the same amount of stick as Gareth Hewer! That's how it works, right?

I personally quite enjoy reading D11 and soss's posts, they have an insight to how things work behind the scenes to which most others don't. Maybe they wouldn't keep bringing up the same questions if they actually received answers? Or maybe the BOD don't like the fact they know so much, who knows?

Can't believe the fuss that is made over referees, some are stricter than others, just don't give them excuse to penalise you. They have a thankless task in my opinion, I know it's a job I wouldn't fancy doing. They are only human so are bound to make mistakes at some point.
