It's in The Blood

The Baron Mk11

Recommended Posts

A new short play starring fans and former players from Rochdale and Oldham brought to you by Rugby League Cares and The Heritage Lottery Fund. Directed by award winning playwright Mick Martin of Broken Time fame. IT'S IN THE BLOOD. Both funny and sad the play gives a glimpse of Hornets and the Roughyeds in days gone by. Without dropping names, you will see faces you remember from yesterday and hear their stories.

If your very quick, there are a few free tickets still available.

Any of you guys who are coming to the performance, I will be up there making a fool of myself as usual,  but it will be nice to meet you and put a face to the name. Thanks.

Three out of the four venues are now all but sold out. The one that isn't is the Mahdlo Centre in Oldham This is due to the performance being at 4.30pm Friday 27th October. Now we appreciate that folk of working age will find it difficult to get there at that time, I am sure there are plenty of supporters of pensionable age with a bit of time on their hands on Friday afternoon ( I've been to Whitebank and Bower Fold so I know you're not all spring chickens) so why not get yourself down there and support a worthy cause. Cost is not a factor cos your bl00dy tickets are free, so get your backsides along to the Mahdlo Centre and show some support.

Ticket line on the poster at the top of this page.

I thank you.

First performance yesterday, quote from one of the audience:

Went to touchstones today to watch the first performance.....

absolutely superb! Funny, touching, heartwarming and engaging. Loved it! Get to a performance if you can.

Next performance Wednesday 25th Oct. at Oldham Library (sold out)

Then The Flying Horse 26th Oct. (sold out)

Then Mahdlo Centre 27th Oct. (Tickets available)

If you miss your chance to see this superb production, I'm sure you will regret it.

Get on down to the Mahdlo Centre, performance starts at 4.30pm Friday 27th October.

PS. Went to Oldham Coliseum on Friday night to see "Up and Under" another superb Rugby League play, if you didn't go.....you've missed it, it finished Saturday night.
