Rugby What Ifs?
craig hamilton replied to SouthBedfordshireFan's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
Agree - my best pal from university is from Gloucester and was a handy hooker. I visited him a few times and we had a run out for his local side and the oppoisiton, facilities and people watching / playing were not of an elitist nature. It was rough. Gloucester reminded me of Workington but with cider rather than lager and RU instead of RL. -
Question for the good people of Workington
craig hamilton replied to John bird's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
Aspatria Hornets were formed in 1891 and switched to Northern Union in 1898 following a dispute with the Cumberland RU for non-payment of travelling expenses to a final and lack of medals. https://cumbriacrack.com/2021/10/20/aspatria-hornets-celebrate-130th-anniversary-in-style/#:~:text=Aspatria Hornets celebrated their 130th,24 victory over neighbours Cockermouth. -

Vegas And The Round Up: Success or Not?

Contrary to the comments on this, I really liked it. To have someone like the Gronk doing this is a huge part of making these things a sucess. -

That was great. Jason Saab came across really well and I hope that the games are well-attended. -
Is RL about to blow its big chance?
craig hamilton replied to Odsal Outlaw's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
I don’t think the points raised in the OP will hinder RL at all. I’ve never been more excited for a new season in a long time and certainly have noticed a higher profile and positivity this preseason. I think the BBC games will also have an impact on profile. -
Steeden Size 4 Balls

I did find those but, as some previous repliers have said, just comes up as under maintenance. I'm not in the habit of Facebook-style queries à la 'what time does Asda open?' just to clarify. Newitts only have size 3 balls. Thanks for the replies in any case. I will buy another brand. -
Am at a loss. Trying to get hold of some Steeden size 4 rugby balls but the internet seems bereft of places to buy them. Could anyone help / recommend a place to get some?

The negative barrage of comments in this thread is why international RL will never prosper or grow. Instead of celebrating this, despite the fact France will win easily, it’s a deluge of doom and gloom. How are teams meant to ever improve if they never get to play any games? Look at Argentina in RU, they got tonked every game in the Quad-Nations for years but got better and better during this period. We need to get used to things taking time in rugby league and not abandoning them after 2/3 years if they are not a complete and total success. Mighty oaks from small acorns grow and all that.
