  1. Out of curiosity what news sources are you using?
  2. Not that surprising. As I said earlier, his role in the upending was minimal.
  3. Olakau'atu and DCE both facing 2-week bans over the lifting/dumping tackle on Shaun Lane which saw Haumole get 10 in the bin. Should DCE get a pass for his almost unblemished record across 300+ games? Fox Sports I think it's odd that they both get 2 weeks. Clearly Olakau'atu does most of it.
  4. In short: Roosters veteran Luke Keary will retire from the NRL at the end of the 2024 season. Keary's decision is not related to his history with concussions. What's next? The Roosters are expected to elevate Sandon Smith to the starting side following Keary's exit. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-04-29/sydney-roosters-luke-keary-retirement-2024/103781296
  5. It shows how good the jumpers are these days when you see 2 Leeds players with torn shirts and it looks really unusual.
  6. Panthers v Cows? I think 6 points is a close game. You can bridge that gap in less than a minute, although the Cows couldn't. Next week we have Team 5 v 7, 12 v 13, 6 v 9, and 5 possible blowouts. I think it's just the random makeup of the draw mixed with the usual NRL gap between the top 8 and bottom 8. It comes down, IMO, to A-List players. There aren't enough real game-changers for each team to have more than one or two so when the Storm or Broncos have 3 or 4 of them, the bottom teams will always struggle. And for the bottom teams, you need only two important injuries and their season's gone. Once the Sharks hit 18-0 today there was nobody in that Raiders team who could have turned that around. From what I've seen this year I think there are 6 possible GF winners - Sharks, Storm, Penrith, Brisbane, Manly and possibly the Chooks. The Cows maybe but they need a lucky streak where half the runners in front of them fall over. Bookies still have the Chooks as 4th favourite which is probably accurate given the cattle they have on their list. According to Sportsbet: $ 3.25 - Panthers $ 4.20 - Broncos $ 6.00 - Storm $ 9.00 - Easts $14.00 - Manly and Cronulla
  7. 74min: Ramien try No, it won't have any effect Hynes misses kick Sharks 40 -- 0
  8. He missed one in the previous game v Bunnies and it was the first one so he got the next 5 + 7 + 6 today
  9. 62min: Hynes makes a 40m break then 2 tackles later Katoa scores. Hynes 6/6 Sharks 36 - 0
  10. 56min: Hynes kicks a 40/20 then scores a try. What next, a goal? Hynes goal Cronulla 30 - 0
  11. 46min: Briton Nikora try Hynes goal Sharks 24 - 0
  12. Try-saver by Will Kennedy. Strange probably should have held the ball for the next tackle rather than the 1% attempt at grounding it.
