Jason Demetriou has been sacked as South Sydney Rabbitohs coach effective immediately following a crunch board meeting with rumours Wayne Bennett will return in 2025. The Daily Telegraph’s Phil Rothfield confirmed Demetriou had been informed of his sacking midway through NRL 360. Just watched the video of Paul Kent’s brawl. Talk about red mist descending! I can’t see him being able to command respect in his media work after this latest indiscretion. He is harshly criticised for example Taylan May when he was found guilty of assault. He can expect harsh criticism himself as a self appointed arbiter of behaviour around the game.
