  1. Didnt think they would bridge the gap this year but the gap looks bigger than ever at this point. They made some decent signings but they are way off the pace.
  2. Well a million pound would go a long way at this point. ShuddersFax.
  3. I remember been pretty young and devastated when Greg Austin left Fax, further devastations down the line when Karl Harrison left and the Chester and Clinch. Micky Higham must be up there as well.
  4. Im confused by what you are saying. If the council offload the Shay to a 3rd party(There are no other interested parties BTW) then neither team would be running the stadium. Again if its a 3rd party running it the both of the clubs would be working in partnership with that 3rd party rather than each other. I can't see anyone buying the Shay, you have nearly a 1m outlay just to get the pitch so it is fit for purpose and the reality is that the 2 clubs combined only bring just over a couple of thousand fans in each week. There is more a chance that the longterm outcome will be the land is sold and both teams make alternative arrangements as to where they play.
  5. This 100%. I can't understand why when a player is forced to take a voluntary tackle any defender would touch him. The attacker can't get up and run because its obstruction and this is why it either is obstruction or not, we can't have a "meh its obstruction but not bad obstruction so we will let this one fly" rule.
  6. 53k and looks like the new board took over and simply decided to stop paying the rent. What a shambles. At least they got to wear their brand new suits at Wembley while all the time the club was going down the pan. Might explain the state of our squad for this season and why players keep asking to leave.
  7. That obstruction rule certainly one of my pet hates. Clearly no obstruction but he is required to break another rule and take a voluntary tackle.
  8. You will be hoping what I heard tonight is not true then. Honestly though he would be good with an actually centre to play with.
  9. Seems fair and sensible. Fev might owe Fax one though as we don't tend to give out injury news so theres a chance we only find out he broke his jaw after about 8 weeks out.
  10. It seems Greg Eden is about to become available. Looked crocked on Sunday though.
  11. Not a bad team:- https://www.loverugbyleague.com/post/an-ultimate-13-of-rugby-league-players-born-in-halifax-including-wigan-warriors-duo
  12. Yeah my personal take was that it was just an unfortunate incident, Gale trying to get a shot on a player juggling the ball to force the error and Inman dropping at the same time. It looks bad because of where the contact is so I wouldnt be surprised if its a couple game ban but given the precedent set the other week if it turns out Inman has broke his jaw it could be a lengthy ban because of the injury. Ive watched the incident a few times and can't believe it myself. A guy who I presume is the doctor(No markings on his red top) checks him out but seems to be the main concern is his jaw. Call me a cynic but we have no other hooker in the team and Eden was also needing to be replaced as he was quite clearly hobbled at this time, that should not play a part but it would not surprise me that teams game the system.
