Wouldn't place a lot of faith in anything announced by Love Rugby League after the Matty Gee fiasco. I think their chief investigative reporter must be Joey Essex.

It's true, Nigel Wood confirmed it at the RFL press briefing on Wednesday. He said the salary cap will be £1.85m across every league, subject to the 50% of income rule.

I’m not prejudiced, I hate everybody equally

You must be joking Sandy, there isn't one of those muppets at Red Hall with half the brains of Joey. Parachute payments to those who might drop out of SL into the championship but not a sausage for those who drop out of the Championship, most in our division would try and sign players on at least a 2yr contract but will find themselves having to release them if they go down due to the £100k difference in what they would get in Championship 1. They are a joke. :rtfm:
