  1. Was a strange Origin series this year. NSW were dominant in game 1 in Queensland and despite the jump Queensland got in the first half of game 2, NSW outscored them 5 tries to 4 and were arguably the better side. But in game 3 they just weren't in it, didn't look like getting on the score sheet and from the first set Queensland just outplayed and out enthused them.
  2. So Tom Dearden has won the Wally Lewis medalist as player of the series for Origin. 7 years after Harry Smith and Dearden faced each other as Schoolboys/Academy players, will they be half back opposites in the Ashes?
  3. Apart from the joint-record seven Formula One World Drivers' Championship titles? Feels like the Life of Brian 'What have the Roman's done' bit.
  4. I didn't say it was high quality, I just said I enjoyed it.
  5. Really enjoyed that, but I have always enjoyed a tight attritional game over a try fest.
  6. I think we can safely say after watching a 17 stone Oledzki crash into 3 tacklers and come away with his face a mess... the game hasn't gone soft.
  7. Anyway, mever mind the talk of the ref's calls, how much effort has Ryan Hall put into his tan this week. What are we thinking, natural or sunbed?
  8. So, if you go past the ball, by definition you have not tried to play at it?
  9. I think Newman has every right to try and get to the ball there, didn't look like an obvious push.
  10. Didn't look like a dangerous position to me.
  11. I was OK with a penalty only there, sure we want to stop players being put in a dangerous position but he landed on his upper back and it was miles away from a spear tackle.
  12. I think Newman's defence has improved this year but that was very poor.
  13. Well done Wigan celebrating the life and career of the great and one and only Sir William (Billy) Boston. I hope his family and friends and the entire Wigan Rugby League community are suitably proud.
  14. As a point of comparison, George Ford, who has rarely been the number one choice for England, has just won his 100th international cap. I do not get angry about this stuff anymore. As a sport, we just don’t see the value of international Rugby League, and that is universal, not just the southern hemisphere or the NRL.
