  1. When i was coaching, the training fields and grounds are all closed due to drout conditions and holidays in july and August, The amateur players giving up their 3 or 4 weeeks holiday in july or August, alot of people have no choice as their employer closes the business for a month and they have no choice but take the holodays then, Where do the non playing players play when not selected if the reserves team is playing in winter, same for u19s for players stepping up. I must admit i now stay home and watch games on YouTube if it's cold or raining (if my son isn't playing before hand) If the clubs make a party atmosphere aftter games in summer this would maybe attract people especially with a few beers and food for sale, I'm starting to come around to the idea now, Would the competition of the catalans and toulouse affect attendances when they play at home too? Lots of things to think about and work out, as well as players welfare as they aren't full time athletes and could end up playing regularly in 30 degrees even at 9pm,
  2. This weekend. Friday limoux v Toulouse, Saturday carcassonne v catalans, Sunday albi v lezignan, and i think pia v villefranche Not sure who is home or away though.
  3. I You have carcassonne v pia this afternoon.
  4. Treize mondial will be your best bet
  5. I bet they don't get 5500 subscriptions, the french fans are used to getting free youtube games every week, with teams like pia, lezignan, carcassonne and limoux showing games with commentators that are pretty well filmed. Now they won't want to pay to get what they used to get for free.
  6. 80 euros for the year? Expensive? They need 5500 people to sign up to break even, it's cheaper for licensed players and people involved in clubs, i may have got.it wrong at 80, it may be 60 or 70 euros but nothing officiel yet, Summer is difficult in the south of France, the council close pitches due to hot weather and not being allowed to water the fields, training is often cancelled in july and August when pre seasons used to start, plus the july and August 3 or 4 week holidays most french people take will cause quite a few problems for the players, a lot of companies enforce holidays in either july or August as they close down.
  7. Postponed? It's just starting in December before normally moving to summer the year later, The fédération are apparently setting up a streaming platform too for next season with 4 games per weekend with commentators and analysts, 80 ish euro a year, lets see how that goes, hopefully it'll be of good quality.
  8. And it's given to bein sports for free,
  9. Try rugbyrama.fr you may need a vpn, or twitch then rugbyrama
  10. Resigned it saysnin the official statement.
  11. Banquet was a centre, wing or full back, he was the size of a back rower though
  12. Sangare is getting better but he's miles off championship level, he's a big lad but physically and technically a long way off.
  13. I've been speaking with coaches today, the referees have decided to be like super league and speed up the ruck, the problem is it's mid season and rule changes shouldn't be made the weekend of the semi finals, Welcome to France
  14. It will be at gilbert brutus a week earlier than first decided, the weekend of the 12th April.
  15. The pitch is 53 metres wide instead of a recommended 68metres And around 90 metres long instead of 100m This came directly from the toulouse coach who said they used to paint lines on their training pitch before Bradford games to get used to it, especially for the kicking game.
